Patrick Bailey

Patrick Bailey is a Pennsbury and Temple University Alumni, holding a B.M. in Music Education.

He has been a featured soloist with the Temple University Orchestra, debuting a timpani concerto by John Psathas (composer of the music for the Athens Olympic Games) as winner of the annual concerto competition. Patrick has performed on stage at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, toured the continental United States with DCI’s Boston Crusaders, headlined at jazz clubs such as Chris’ Jazz Cafe, and toured the world with various musical ensembles. An active advocate of chamber music, he performs regularly with his percussion trio “Three for All Percussion” and the family band “The Bailey Trio”.

Patrick is a published composer with Bachovich Music Publications and has written two commissioned works for Temple University, as well as various wind band and percussion ensemble pieces. He is a member of the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers, the Vic Firth Education Team, the National Association for Music Education, Phi Kappa Lambda, the Percussive Arts Society, and the Golden Key Honor Society.

As an educator, Patrick has given lectures at Temple University on music history and has been a guest artist and presenter at Pennsbury High School, presenting chamber music with Three for All. In addition to his work at Pennsbury, he is Assistant Conductor and Operations Assistant with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization, and has guest conducted ensembles at Temple University and Strath Haven High School.
